Meet The team

Richard - Principle Stylist and Salon Owner:
Hello there! I'm Richard the salons elder statesman! I've been hairdressing for 14 years now and i'm still learning. I believe in innovation and not standing still when it comes to perfecting your talent. I like to lead from the front so as to inspire others, there's never a point when you know everything in hairdressing and fashion as its always changing. When I first started everyone had curls, movement and big hair, then we went through the messy stage where a blow dry was done in 5 minutes, then it was on to straight hair and GHD irons now we're coming back to curls, movement and big hair (I think that's when you know you've been there a long time). The thing I enjoy most is the constant movement in trends and the buzz you get from the other members of my team that keep me thinking and moving forward. I'd like to think that if there's a hairdressing god I'm praying the right way.

Stuart - Senior Stylist and Manager:
Hi I'm Stu. My first day in hairdressing was the day the salon opened, starting out as an apprentice i've worked my way up to the position I am now. I love my job because it lets you be as creative as you like and everyday has new challenges. And making people feel good about themselves is always a rewarding feeling. I am always looking to push the boundaries of what the client thinks is possible with their hair. Treating each client as an individual and finding something that fits in with your personality and lifestyle.

Priscilla - Senior Stylist:
Hey, so here's a little bit about me! I've been working in the hairdressing industry for 10 years now I started as a Saturday girl at the age of 14, and worked my way up! I've been a fully qualified stylist for 6 years now I really enjoy my work and I can see why it's said that hairdressing is the happiest of all employment.
I think the thing I love most about my job is making people feel good about themselves and them being happy with my creations, anything from creating a complete restyle of colour and a cut to the tiniest of trims to keep the hair in good condition to grow.
As long as you're happy I'm happy and that's the main thing!!!!

Katie - Stylist:
Hiya I'm Katie, I started hairdressing at Maverick in August 2006 and now I'm working as a stylist. From starting hairdressing I have discovered my passion for hair styling and working with people.I like being creative, and find it very rewarding to give customer satisfaction. I am interested in fashion, art and photography. I would like to think that these interests are reflected in my work as a hairdresser.
I am excited and inspired by the role models around me as to what I can achieve and carry on learning in the future.

Natalie - Graduate Stylist:
Hiya! I'm a first year stylist at Maverick and have worked here since July 07; I came to work here straight from school to start my apprenticeship. I later qualified at the end of 2008. I've always wanted to be a hairdresser as I find that I can express creativity and my artistic flare. I have just started my N.V.Q level 3 which will boost my skill and knowledge of hairdressing. Maverick is a very welcoming and friendly salon and I hope you enjoy visiting the salon as much as I do working here!!!
